How to Set Up a Black Friday Sale in Podia (Step by Step with Photos)
Black Friday is one of the best times of the year to boost sales, reward your audience with exclusive discounts, and create excitement around your products. The good news? Setting up a Black Friday sale in Podia is quick and easy.
In this step-by-step guide (with screenshots), I’ll walk you through exactly how to set up your sale so you’re ready to go when the rush begins.
Step 1: Identify the Product(s) You Want to Put on Sale
Before you dive into Podia, decide which of your digital products, courses, or memberships you want to feature in your Black Friday sale.
Do you want to put your entire catalog on sale?
Or just feature one or two signature offers?
Having this clear will make the rest of the setup smooth.
This will be our test product for this blog post.
Step 2: Create a Coupon Code
Now it’s time to create your coupon code in Podia.

In your Podia dashboard, navigate to Coupons.

Click New coupon.
Here’s what you’ll need to set:
a) Make the Text of the Code
Choose a short, memorable code that’s easy for customers to type in.
Examples: BLACKFRIDAY25, BFSAVE50, or simply FRIDAY.
Or in my case; HOWTOMAKEACOUPONCODE
b) Choose the Discounted Items
Select whether this coupon will apply to:
A single product
Multiple products
Or all products in your store.
c) Choose the Value
Decide whether your coupon is a:
Percentage discount (like 25% off), or
Dollar amount discount (like $50 off).
Step 3: Select Options
Once your code basics are in place, fine-tune the details:
a) Limit How Many Uses
If you want to create urgency, set a limit on how many people can redeem your coupon. For example, “First 20 customers only.”
b) Choose Expiry Date
Since this is a Black Friday sale, you’ll want to make sure your coupon has a set end date. Typically, coupons are valid for:
Black Friday only
Or Black Friday weekend (Friday - Monday for Cyber Monday).
This ensures customers know the deal is time-sensitive, which drives action.
Step 4: Share Your Sale
Once your coupon is set up, you’re ready to spread the word!
Add the coupon details to your emails, social media posts, and sales pages.
Highlight the deadline so people don’t miss out.
If you’re using Podia’s email tool, you can send a quick blast to your audience with the coupon link.
