Black Friday Ideas to Try as a Podia User 🖤✨

Brittany here, Certified Podia Pro coming at you with some Black Friday ideas if you're still not sure what to do for your audience.

This is in no particular order… just categorized by what I think makes sense (thanks ADHD lol).

Choose something that feels easy, and GO with it.
Don’t second-guess yourself… or you’ll never send the offer. 😉

Website + Membership Ideas

• Limited-time membership free trial (3 days, 7 days - this is what I am trying (my sales page and email below for reference!)

• Founding member pricing: rates go up after Cyber Monday. Great strategy if you’ve been sitting on launching something. Put it out there as the lowest price it will ever be to get those first few members in the door.

• Bonus content bundle only available this weekend

• “Join now and unlock ___” (exclusive community space or mini-course)

• Upgrade offer: Buy Product A, get Product B free

• Offer DMs or VIP onboarding for buyers

Digital Products + Courses

• Secret Black Friday page only subscribers can access (oh sneaky! A fun way to build your email list)

• Bundles that combine related products for extra value

• Flash sales: one offer per day Fri–Mon. I would not recommend this one UNLESS you have a large or engaged email list otherwise this one might burn you out.

• Beta launch something new → deliver next month

• Include email support or a limited coaching upgrade

Coupons + Urgency Boosters

• Special loyal subscriber coupon just for your list

• Countdown timers (use elfsight to embed a visual timer for when your deal ends and don’t forget you can set your podia coupons to expire on a certain date)

• Fast-action bonuses for first 10 purchasers - again use a podia coupon code and set the “limit” to 10 (or whatever limit you’re going with)

• “Spin the wheel” surprise discount (manual version: pick a coupon code for them!). There is a wheel spinner you can embed with elfsight as well - so fun!

Freebies + Lead Growth

• Holiday-only freebie (checklist, audio, swipe file)

• Gift with purchase: surprise download or bonus video

• Giveaway inside your community to boost engagement

• Teaser email: join the list to get early access

Partnerships + Affiliate $$ Ideas

• Create a co-branded bundle with another Podia creator (you would each create a coupon code to eachother or use your affiliate link to their product and they would do the same for you)

• Feature others’ offers using affiliate links (you can do this for non poria stuff like amazon products even - see my email below for reference)

• Referral contest (most referrals wins a prize)

• Round-up email: “best deals for people like us this weekend”

Community-Specific Extras

• Early-bird sale only for members

• “Help me choose my next product” poll

• Live session only for Black Friday buyers

• Member-only coupon codes shown inside the community

Two Examples I’m Using This Weekend

1: Membership Free Trial Offer
I’m testing a fully free trial but with payment info required upfront (first time trying this so I’ll have to report back how it goes).
I’ll share results afterward if you’re curious how it performs - and I’d love to hear from you if you’re doing free trials and collecting payment up front!

Even if you don’t have your own offer this year… you can still:

  … and what you’re offering instead to support small businesses ❤️

Lots of options. No wrong answer.

This is my roundup email. And this is a great opportunity I use every year to reach out to referral partners and ask if I can feature something they are offering. My goal on this one is not to make money on affiliate sales (it’s kind of a bonus if I do though!). My goal is to create more connection and drive referral business thereafter.
