If marketing has been feeling heavier than it should lately, I want to gently (or maybe not so gently) suggest something:
You need to pick one primary marketing channel.
If youâre currently three strategies deep because a guru made it sound urgent... stop. Simplifying works. I promise your nervous system will thank you.
Most burnout I see doesnât come from ânot doing enough.â
It comes from trying to do everything at the same level of importance.
Posting everywhere.
Showing up daily.
Feeling behind if one platform goes quiet.
Thatâs exhausting!
Hereâs the shift that changed everything for me:
Instead of asking, âWhere should I show up?â
I asked, âWhat channel actually makes sense for me to lead with?â
For me, that answer is email.
Not because email is trendy (itâs not).
And not because I think everyone should choose email.
But for me... it's because:
I genuinely love writing
I understand how to grow an email list
I know how to nurture people there
And I can repurpose that content later instead of starting from scratch
Email became the heartbeat of my marketing, and everything else became optional support.
A primary marketing channel isnât about doing more... it's about deciding where your best thinking goes first.
Your primary channel should:
Match your natural strengths
Feel sustainable, not draining
Be something you can stay consistent with even on busy weeks
Support your business goals without constant pressure
Social media, blogs, podcasts, videos... those can still exist.
They just donât all need to carry the same weight.
If marketing feels overwhelming right now, it might be because youâre trying to let everything be the engine.

NO hard sales pitch, that's not my jam.
Just a quick, friendly chat to see if (and how) I can help.
