Empty Desk Solutions has chosen 3 of our most essential graphic designing tools to help you out.
Having tools to create your own graphic designs is essential for any brand trying to establish itself and create authentic content on and offline. Graphics can be used for social media posts, logos, websites, blogs, or simply used, or added to any kind of marketing material at all. Creating graphics for online marketing can be overwhelming, especially if you have no experience with it and are just starting out. From creating, to customizing templates, using the right graphic design tools are critical.
Content creation simplified
Canva is an online software with a curated collection of high-quality design templates for close to any graphic design need. It is easy to use and supplies a variety of customizable templated graphics for every social media platform. Make custom designs for anything, from advertisements, to contest announcements, to upcoming sales. Canva allows you to customize its professional quality templates with your own branding aesthetics and will help you to keep all your graphic designs modern and high quality. Best yet, you can use Canva for free, or upgrade for a low price and plenty of worthwhile added benefits. Canva does have its editing limitations, such as its inability to edit or alter uploaded images, or files, (like for example .JPEGs or .PNGs). We personally have also experienced issues with high enough resolution for print on Canva. Despite these inconveniences, we still consider Canva to be incredibly convenient and cost effective. We don’t go a single day without using it!
2. Adobe Photoshop
Whether you’re looking for everyday edits or total transformations, our graphic design software offers a complete set of professional photography tools to turn your snapshots into works of art. Adjust, crop, remove objects, retouch, and repair old photos. Play with color, effects, and more to turn the ordinary into something extraordinary.
Adobe Photoshop is arguably the most renown editing software for photos and design. It allows you to create and enhance photographs, illustrations, and 3D artwork, design graphics, websites and mobile apps, edit videos, simulate real-life paintings, and more. Photoshop is the best option if you are looking to have complete artistic power and control over every aspects of your designs. Photoshop also offers the same features for graphic design editing. From websites, to logos, to eye-catching icons, and social media posts, Photoshop gives you the ability to create and change any and all of your graphic designs from scratch or from a template. While it is much less beginner friendly than Canva, Adobe Photoshop’s limitations are fewer and farther between.
3. Creative Market
Creative Market is an online store offering everything graphics. On the site, independent designers sell fonts, vector art, graphics, photos, logos, social media post templates, and so much more. Some of the content is available to download for free! Creative Market Subscribers receive 6 free designing items each week to use in their own graphic designs. Creative Market can be a great tool for design inspiration, or for finding that extra flare one of your designs may have been missing.
