Empty Desk Solutions is proud to have participated in the 6th annual Day of Caring!

On November 17th, 2018, a team of volunteers packed 500 lunches for those in need. These lunches went into hand decorated brown paper bags, filled with PB&J sandwiches, juice boxes, granola bars, and a sweet treatBrittany Hardy at Empty Desk Solutions was happy to be able to stick in the apples too. The volunteers then handed out the lunches at Main & Hastings and in Oppenheimer Park. Additionally, warm clothes and shoes were distributed to Union Gospel Mission in Vancouver, and a second drop-off location – Giving us all something to smile about!

Vancouver’s homeless population is now bigger than ever. A record-breaking 1,847 homeless people were counted last year in Vancouver. The increase reveals a problem needing the attention of all municipalities and senior levels of government to work together to solve. What can you do to help?
